Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 21st July, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all bookings for Craft the Light workshops, whether purchased as a public event ticket or booked as a private or corporate event ("Booking"). By purchasing a ticket or confirming a private booking, you ("Guest," "Customer," or "you") agree to these Terms in full.
1. Public Workshops
1.1 All public workshop tickets are sold exclusively through Eventbrite. Ticket sales close one hour before the scheduled event start time.
1.2 Public workshops are held in public venues. Seating is not reserved, so we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the event start time to get settled.
1.3 Each ticket is valid for one guest to make two candles. Tickets may not be shared or split between two or more people — every participant must hold their own valid ticket.
1.4 Public workshops run for approximately two hours, including a 20-minute break.
1.5 Tickets do not include food or drinks unless explicitly stated in the event description. Some venues may offer food or drinks for purchase separately.
1.6 Workshops are open to children aged 10 and up, alongside adults. Any guest under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the workshop. Every participant, regardless of age, must have their own ticket.
1.7 Each guest attending a public workshop will receive a candle safety card and verbal instructions from their teacher on how to properly cure and burn their candles. By attending, you acknowledge receipt of these instructions and take full responsibility for following them when burning your candles at home.
2. Private & Corporate Events
2.1 Private and corporate events are booked directly with Craft the Light and paid for in advance via a secure payment link.
2.2 A $200 USD deposit is required at the time of booking to hold your date.
2.3 A $40 USD travel fee is added to every private or corporate booking.
2.4 The final guest count must be confirmed with Craft the Light at least 4 calendar days before the event date.
2.5 Once the final guest count is confirmed, Craft the Light will issue an invoice and contract. Final payment is due at least 4 calendar days before the event, alongside the signed contract.
2.6 Each guest at a private or corporate event makes two candles. Tickets or spots may not be shared or split between two or more people.
2.7 Each guest attending a private or corporate event will receive a candle safety card and verbal instructions from their teacher on how to properly cure and burn their candles. By booking or attending, the host and all guests acknowledge receipt of these instructions and take full responsibility for following them when burning candles at home.
3. Assumption of Risk & Responsibility
3.1 Candle-making involves hot wax, open flames, and fragrance oils. Guests are expected to follow all instructions given by Craft the Light teachers during the workshop.
3.2 By purchasing a public event ticket or confirming a private or corporate booking, the Customer agrees to these Terms and takes full responsibility for burning their finished candle(s) properly and safely, as instructed, in order to avoid fire hazards. Craft the Light provides a printed candle safety card and verbal safety instructions at every event; responsibility for safe use of the finished candle at home rests with the Customer.
3.3 Craft the Light is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage arising from improper storage, curing, or burning of candles after the workshop has ended.
4. Changes to These Terms
Craft the Light may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on our website at the time of your Booking applies to that Booking.
